Ballet Santa Barbara offers Beginning Ballet for Adults on Thursdays at
9:00-10:15 a.m. The class, taught by BSB Artistic Director Carrie Diamond,
is for absolute beginners or those with limited experience. It is also recommended
for those who might want to slowly get back into ballet after a long break.
The class is designed to expand your knowledge, appreciation, and enjoyment of ballet.
For over 15 years, Ms. Diamond has utilized a sound method of teaching ballet technique
to beginners of all ages. She will guide you safely and carefully. You will learn
correct posture and alignment, and you will increase your flexibility, strength,
and physical control. You will also develop the musicality, coordination, and fluidity
of movement that comes from the regular practice of ballet exercises. Last, and
maybe most important is the wonderful experience of self-expression through movement
that awaits you!
